The first four months of 2022 has been extremely busy for the Bourbonnais Fire Protection District. As of April 30, 2022 the Fire District has been dispatched to 1,438 calls for emergency services, a 6.2% increase in call volume (1,354) for the same time period during 2021. The 2021 year end total of 4,580 calls for emergency services is currently the record for most calls that the Fire District has been dispatched to in any year since its inception. If the call volume continues to follow the upwards trend as we have seen this year and as it did last year, the department is expected to answer over 4,600 calls for emergency services in 2022.

The Fire District continues to seek opportunities such as hiring additional personnel to increase our daily staffing model to meet the demand for both emergency and non-emergency services. In the meantime, our personnel are committed to answering every request that we possibly can, but there are times that your requests will overwhelm our available in - house resources. In those situations please understand that we will make every attempt to ensure someone responds to your request.
