| Here is the fourth piece of exciting news that will be coming to the Fire District in January 2026. The Bourbonnais Fire Protection District has made a significant investment in firefighter and paramedic training with the purchase of the Gaumard HAL® S3201 Advanced Patient Simulator. This cutting-edge technology represents a major step forward in the Fire District’s ongoing commitment to training excellence, operational readiness, and community safety. The HAL S3201 is a life-like, computer-controlled manikin capable of simulating real-world medical emergencies with remarkable realism. It allows Fire District personnel to practice a wide range of advanced life support procedures — from cardiac events and trauma scenarios to airway management and medication administration — all in a controlled, repeatable, and safe environment. “Investing in advanced simulation technology allows our firefighters and paramedics to sharpen their skills through realistic hands-on scenarios,” said Fire Chief James R. Keener. “This ensures that when real emergencies happen, our crews are better prepared to provide the highest level of care to the residents and visitors of our community.” The addition of the HAL S3201 enhances the Fire District’s ability to conduct in-house training and joint exercises with neighboring agencies, further improving response capabilities across the region. This investment underscores the Fire District’s dedication to innovation, professional development, and the safety of those it serves. |
