Today, Riverside and St. Mary’s joined us at the station to honor a crew of outstanding Paramedics and EMTs who worked together to save the life of a young female pedestrian struck by a vehicle this summer.

Bourbonnais Fire personnel on scene that day were Chief Keener, Lieutenant Santilli, EMS Coordinator/FF & Paramedic Romein, FF/Paramedic Schejbal, FF/EMT Giblin, and FF/EMT Beaupre. At the accident scene, they moved with focus and teamwork, using their training to perform critical life-saving interventions. When the patient arrived at Riverside, the Emergency Department seamlessly continued that care. Because of everyone involved, this young individual has another chance at life.
